On the Mural Hunt

Great news! I have been selected to design and paint a mural as part of KCCI's EnCompass Tallahassee project. I love pops of bright color and striking design, so this is an exciting project for me to sink my paintbrush into.

In preparation for the painting, I have been hunting down examples of compelling murals. Here are some of my favorites.

This stunning installation by Alex Brewer (HENSE) is by far my favorite. Can you believe those colors? It's just dripping with inspiration. I would love to spend the day just basking in its glorious color palette.

Okay, how adorable is this matisse-esque wall painting? I love the bold blocks of color that have the appearance of torn paper. Via Poppytalk. Styling by Jessica Hanson. Photography by Amanda Prior.

This! All I can say is yes!! Artwork by Agostino in Lugano, Switzerland.

Another flat, graphic one with a more painterly approach. All black and white on a peachy background... very sweet. Sweet Rose Creamery photo by Dabito.

This flat-style, illustration mural caught my attention with it's line quality and simplicity in color palette. It's quite graphic and great. Also rocking the peachy, black, and white palette. By escif | entropy mural at morocco's melilla art school.

That's all for now! I've got a few more to post later on. Check back if you're curious, and please let me know if you are aware of any amazing murals happening around you!
